Storm Emergency Kit
Be sure you have a simple storm emergency kit easily accessible when you seek shelter from a storm. Store these items in a plastic portable tub or similar container:
- Flashlight & batteries
- Candles & matches/lighter
- Bottled water
- First-aid kit
- Battery-powered or crank radio
- Necessary prescription and/or over-the-counter medications
- Canned, ready-to-eat meats, fruits and vegetables; energy bars
- Can opener
- Paper and pencil/pen
- Paper and sanitation products including toilet paper and plastic bags with ties
- Soap and disinfectant
- Blankets
- Special-needs items, such as diapers, formula, contact lens supplies, glasses
